Next Workbond Event ECD: ~April/May 2026
Archery Workbond Tasks (Last Updated on 1/6/26):
- Large Pavilion Roof Repair – replace 2-3 roof beams and recover with steel roof sheets under the shipping container door
- [Completed] Assess repairing archery bow press (red framed press is located in one of the containers – may need new cables and bearings); Place bow press into the container, on the desk.
- [In Work by a member] Write up a procedural document on how to use the red framed bow press. Capture photos, etc. Print out and hang up in the shipping container where the bow press resides.
- Review the 3d targets we have and trash the targets that are deteriorating, to make room for future purchases (these can be found on the right side of the brown container
- Build shelves for new container (to be purchased at a later date)
- Other Mower Maintenance: Carb on red mower (Complete); needs pully replacement (Still needed) and tapped threads for blade installation (Still needing)
- Bag Replacement
- One bag needs to be replaced on the east walking range (on the east side of that loop, which looks out towards Chatfield)
- We can also queue up stuffed bags in the blue container (Spare bags are located in the middle brown container)
- Potentially build a target wall on the inside of the north end of the shipping container for catching arrows – so that indoor paper tuning can be conducted with zero wind (Paper tuning stand already built; Dollar store wrapper paper, or another type of paper to be procured)
- Archery Training Slides to be updated – add process for applying flags (like a ground flag markers, which are normally used to identify underground electrical cables) into foam targets when a broadhead is stuck inside a target. This will notify other users that arrow/broadhead damage could occur if that target is shot at. This process will only work if folks are trained that they must use a flag if their broadhead is stuck in the target after they pull their arrow out. Tom is working on creating a sign to notify users of this process.
- Apply lock for the archery range shipping container (Kirk has a lock); Add lock/combo info to the training package
- Build Bow Storage in container – Please Note: bow storage is not yet approved at the archery range
